Showcased the artwork of Robert Peaav, Lorna Sweet and Joseph Watts. These artists were brought together through their attention to materiality. Their respective materials, although diverse, have specific and intentional roll in their practices.
Watts’ large scale scaffolding installations attempt to reveal the materials representational possibility, which often refer to nature and the built environment. Sweet questions our relationship to, and affection for, preconceived ideas of a materials value. Robert uses his chosen material (polyurethane soft expanding foam) for the guilt of the material itself.
